There's an objective way the world works – unchanging mechanisms beyond our control. But we each perceive and interpret reality differently; everyone has their own truth. This subjectivity comes from our unique human experience, shaped by our genetics and environment, which determine how we experience, think, and act.
Spirituality is the core of reality. True spirituality lies in embracing truth, while self-deception pulls us away from this higher power. Our brains, designed for survival, often develop egocentric distortions of reality, leading us away from genuine truth.
Most of our thoughts and actions happen in our subconscious. When our conscious thoughts, subconscious patterns, and objective reality are out of sync, it creates many issues. Yet, this system is currently the best we have for navigating life.
Once we experience something, it's set in motion; the present is deterministic. However, the illusion of agency is crucial. It empowers us to take accountability for our internal state and make necessary corrections. It allows us to act as if we can change, which is vital for growth.
Our brains naturally struggle with paradoxical perspectives, preferring simple answers. But the key is to learn to discern between what is "objective enough" (the verifiable facts of how things work) and what is "highly subjective" (our personal interpretations and feelings).
God is present in every element of reality. As we become more connected through love – both for ourselves and others – we deepen our experience of God and Spirituality. Love becomes the pathway to understanding and experiencing this universal truth.
This is your map. Carry it with you as you continue through life.
